DESCRIPTION:“Evolving Paradigms of Intercultural Thought: From Historical
  Foundations to Future Directions”\n\nThis session draws on Dr. GL Herna
 ndez’s deep expertise in intercultural communication\, global studies\, 
 and responsible leadership\, cultivated through his Ph.D. in Intercultural
  Communication and roles as Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Researche
 r.\n\nDr. Hernandez will illuminate how to bridge\, not deepen\, differenc
 es amidst contemporary global challenges\, including geopolitical shifts\,
  evolving Diversity\, Equity\, and Inclusion (DEI) landscapes\, and the tr
 ansformative and ethical implications of AI. He will share proven practice
 s and innovative approaches from his extensive research on topics such as 
 migrant mental healthcare communication\, racial representation in higher 
 education\, and the dynamics of inequality in global contexts. His educati
 onal philosophy\, rooted in critical pedagogy and constructivist learning\
 , emphasizes student engagement and real-world application.\n\nParticipant
 s will gain actionable insights\, tools\, and frameworks derived from Dr. 
 Hernandez’s experience teaching courses like "Cross-Cultural Awareness" 
 and "Responsible Leadership\," utilizing role play and interactive exercis
 es to hone analytical and interpersonal skills. This forward-thinking mas
 terclass will examine the historical evolution of intercultural thought\, 
 its current manifestations in a VUCA world\, and critically explore where

 uture.\n\nBiography: GL Hernandez researches diversity in organizations a
 nd intercultural communication\, focusing on critical approaches to addres
 sing global inequalities. His work spans international higher education\, 
 as well as institutional contexts\, such as museums\, and corporations. Pu
 blished in journals like Journal of International Studies and Journal o
 f Contemporary European Studies\, he presents at conferences across Europe
  and North America. Additionally\, he teaches intercultural communication\
 , ethics\, and research methodologies. Hernandez holds a BA in Communicati
 on Studies and BM in Classical Music (San Francisco State University)\, an
  MA in Global Studies (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin &amp\; FLACSO Argen
 tina)\, and a Ph.D. in Intercultural Communication (Università della Sviz
 zera italiana).
